RALEIGH AI WORKS ▸ AI RECEPTIONIST
An AI receptionist that answers every call, day or night.
It's 9:40 PM. A homeowner's water heater just quit, and they're calling down the list of shops Google gave them. The first two ring out. Yours answers on the first ring — in your business's name — books the job for the morning, and texts the customer a confirmation before they hang up. That's the job of the AI receptionist Raleigh AI Works installs: not a voicemail tree, a front desk that never closes.
What happens on every call
- Answered on the first ring, 24/7 — nights, weekends, holidays, and the middle of your busiest Tuesday. No hold music, no "leave a message."
- Booked, not just noted — the caller is booked against your real calendar, offered the next opening rather than your whole schedule, and confirmed by text before the call ends.
- Questions answered from your real information — your hours, your services, your service area. If it doesn't know, it takes a message instead of guessing.
- Messages that reach you — anything that isn't a booking lands with you as a clear summary, not a voicemail you have to decode.
- Urgent calls escalated immediately — the calls you'd want to know about right now are pushed to you at once, with the details attached.
- Humans on request — if a caller asks for a person, the call transfers to you and you get a text with the reason in the same moment.
And the call doesn't end the work. The booking moves down the chain on its own — proposal, signature, deposit, books, and a review request after the job — because the receptionist is one system inside the full automation install, not a standalone gadget.
Hear it before you decide
Don't take our word for how it sounds. On the homepage, you can talk to Ava — a working demo receptionist for a sample heating and air company, in the demo partway down the page. She's clearly labeled a demo, she runs on the same technology we install, and she'll book you a sample appointment, take a message, or tell you honestly what she is if you ask. Two minutes with her answers the "does it sound like a robot" question better than this page can.
AI receptionist vs. an answering service
The honest comparison, because both are real options:
| Answering service | Raleigh AI Works install | |
|---|---|---|
| How you're billed | Per minute or per call — a busy month costs more, and long calls cost most | One monthly subscription for your company, everything included; call volume never changes the bill |
| Hours | 24/7 on most plans | 24/7 |
| What a call produces | A message, delivered to you to act on | A booking on your real calendar, a confirmed customer, and the follow-up already moving |
| Knowledge of your business | A script and a FAQ sheet, shared across whoever's on shift | Your hours, services, prices policy, and calendar — and it learns your customers over time |
| The fair point in their favor | A human voice, and some callers genuinely prefer one | If your callers need a person on the line above all else, a good answering service is a reasonable buy. If the job is answering, booking, and following through, the install does more of the work. |
What it costs
The receptionist is the Phones part of Olympus OS — priced the way the whole install is priced: one monthly subscription, set by what your business needs. No per-minute meter, no per-call charges, and no separate phone or AI bills — the lines, the voice, and the hosting are included in the subscription, so call volume never changes what you pay. Your exact price is quoted in writing after we map your needs. The build month is billed when you sign, your first month live is free, and the whole thing runs under a 12-month agreement with a written launch guarantee. The full breakdown is on the automation page.
Questions owners ask
Does it pretend to be human?
No. It answers in your business's name as your front desk, and if a caller asks whether they're talking to an AI, it says so, plainly. It also never argues: a caller who wants a person gets transferred to you.
What does it do with a question it can't answer?
It doesn't invent one. It takes the caller's name, number, and question, and that message reaches you with the call summary. During setup we load it with your real hours, services, and policies — and you approve what it can say.
What about emergencies?
You define what counts as urgent for your trade — no heat with a baby in the house, water actively flooding, a security alarm. Those calls escalate to you immediately, wherever you are, instead of waiting in a message queue.
Do I keep my phone number?
Yes. Your number stays yours — the system answers on the number your customers already have, and if you ever leave, the number goes with you. So does your customer data. We port it in free, or forward it — either way your customers dial the same number they've always dialed.
Can it handle more than one call at once?
Yes — two customers calling at 9:40 PM both get answered on the first ring. There is no "all our lines are busy."
Talk to the demo, then talk to us
Try Ava on the homepage first. Then book a visit — the owner comes by in person — or call and hear how our own phones are answered.
